Eastwood Internal Exhaust Coating
Eastwood Internal Exhaust Coating. A high-temperature ceramic coating for the inside of exhaust systems, mufflers and headers. Protects from internal corrosion caused by condensation, salts and combustion by-products.
Description
Eastwood's internal-grade ceramic exhaust coating is engineered for the harsh chemistry inside an exhaust pipe — acidic condensation, sulphates, salt and high heat cycling. Extends exhaust life on hot-rods, classic cars, race vehicles and daily drivers operated in salt-air or coastal conditions. Brushed or poured into the cool, dry exhaust to coat all interior surfaces.
Health & Safety
- Use only in a well-ventilated area or outdoors
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves, splash goggles and a vapour respirator
- Flammable until cured — keep away from ignition sources during application
- Allow full cure (24+ hours) before starting the engine
- Store in original container in a cool, ventilated area away from heat
How to use
Ensure the exhaust is cool, dry and clean. Cap one end of the section, pour or brush the coating into the interior, then rotate the section to distribute evenly. Drain excess back into the can. Allow to cure per the can directions — typically 24 hours air-cure followed by gradual heat-cure during initial driving. First start-up and drive should be done in a ventilated area as residual solvents flash off.
