Description

The Want 120L chemical spill kit is your first-response cabinet for a chemical incident in a workshop, laboratory, mine site or commercial yard. Contents typically include yellow chemical-rated pads, socks/booms, pillows, PPE (gloves, goggles, apron), disposal bags and a clearly labelled response procedure. Yellow chemical-rated absorbents are designed for acids, bases and aggressive cleaners — distinct from grey universal or white oil-only absorbents.

Health & Safety

• Read the contents list and SOP card before an incident — not during one
• Wear the included PPE during deployment — chemical splash goggles, nitrile or chemical-rated gloves, apron
• Stop the source of the spill before applying absorbents, where safe to do so
• Saturated chemical absorbents are hazardous waste — dispose via a licensed contractor
• Restock kit immediately after any use — never let it sit depleted

How to use

On detection of a chemical spill: alert workers in the area, isolate the source if safe, don the PPE from the kit. Place socks or booms around the perimeter to contain the spill. Cover the spill with chemical pads, allow to absorb. Move saturated material into disposal bags. Decontaminate the surface with a neutralising wash. Dispose via a licensed hazardous waste contractor and restock the kit.
