Description

1890 Rapid Cut is the trade-strength cutting compound for panel shops, smash repairers and pro detailers. Designed for fast removal of 1500–3000 grit sanding marks, deeper scratches, water etching and heavy oxidation. Pairs with cutting wool or aggressive foam pads on rotary polishers. Refines well — moderate finish quality straight from the compound stage means less time on subsequent polish stages.

• Wear safety glasses, dust mask and gloves during compound work
• Mask off rubber trim, decals and badges to prevent staining
• Work in a well-ventilated area
• Wash hands and arms after sessions to prevent skin sensitisation
• Test on an inconspicuous area first to confirm clear-coat thickness

How to use

Apply 3–4 pea-sized dots to a cutting pad or wool. Spread at low RPM. Work at 1500–1800 RPM in cross-hatched overlapping passes, 45–60 seconds per section. Wipe residue with a clean microfibre and inspect under good lighting. Refine with a medium compound or polish.
